Industry Leaders to Come Together for the 11th Annual Smithers Apex Phosphor Global Summit

PORTLAND, Maine --(Business Wire)--

Smithers Apex is proud to announce that registration is now open for the Phosphor Global Summit, taking place March 18-20, 2013. The Sheraton New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana will host the 11th annual edition of the conference featuring contributions from members of the entire industry supply chain, completing the circle from research and raw material to end user.

"The agenda this year has more sessions, and more speakers than we have ever had before! We have new sessions on the hottest phosphor industry topics like photovoltaic devices, quantum dots, and phosphors for OLED's and emissive displays," said Barbara Fowler, Conference Director at Smithers Apex. Key players in the industry are already confirmed to present at the Phosphor Global Summit 2013 including Toshiba (News - Alert), 3M, Department of Energy, Mitsubishi, Dow, Siemens, Hamamatsu Photonics, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS).

Thisis a niche gathering designed to allow industrial and academic research staff and the customer users of phosphors to collaborate, network, and share ideas. Phosphor Global Summit will feature several distinguished research universities such as Columbia University, Brown University, Delft University of Technology, Ghent University, Vilnius University, University of Canterbury, University of Victoria, and Korea University and more will spur discussions for the future of phosphors.
