DSP Group's VoIP Processor Powers MOCET(TM) Communicator

LAS VEGAS, Jan 03, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- DSP Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:DSPG), a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications, announced today that its industry-leading XciteR(TM) chipset will power the innovative MOCET Communicator offered by TECOM, a leading designer and manufacturer of IP telephony and mobile device accessories. The MOCET(TM) Communicator delivers a superior audio and video experience for iPad users by seamlessly integrating advanced easy-to-use IP phone features together with the MOCET IP Commander app, available for download from the Apple iTunes app store.

The MOCET Communicator is the latest in a line of TECOM's advanced IP phones - which include the IP3032, IP3062 and IP3062D - all based on XciteR. DSP Group's XciteR family of dual-core VoIP processors delivers an ideal combination of high performance and cost-effectiveness. The state of the art Acoustical Echo Canceler (AEC) delivers best-in-class handsfree experience, and the Linux software SDK allows fast product development for shortest time to market. The XciteR chipset also provides DECT connectivity to high-quality cordless handsets and headsets, clearing cords from the office desk.

"We are pleased to partner with the DSP Group to develop and introduce our new line of IP phones and mobile device accessories, including the MOCET Communicator. We look forward to taking full advantage of the outstanding level of technology integration and performance offered by DSP Group's VoIP solutions," said Marc Abrams, VP of Product and Business Development at MOCET. "Products such as the MOCET Communicator could not have been designed and manufactured without the ease of integration and outstanding performance of the XciteR chipset," he concluded.

"We are proud that MOCET, a prominent IP phone and mobile device accessory vendor, has selected our VoIP solution for use in its line of products, and especially in the exciting and innovative MOCET Communicator," said Yosi Brosh, VP Sales & Marketing South East Asia of DSP Group. "As demonstrated by MOCET's choice of XciteR for its other desktop IP phones, our XciteR chipset delivers measurable value to customers, who keep choosing our solutions for current and future products," he continued.
