New Alliance Offers Home Builders Speed and Flexibility by Connecting Sales, Option Selection, and Operational Processes Using 3D CAD in a BIM-Based Workflow

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--

Sales Simplicity ITW Instinct (NYSE: ITW), CG Visions, and BuilderMT announced today that they have allied and pre-integrated the workflow management, sales management, and design features of their award-winning software products.

The combined capability that results from this alliance - which includes BIM, CAD, CRM, and operational workflow - provides homebuilders with the remarkable ability to tie BIM and CAD home-design files directly to sales, estimating, and accounting, as well as to purchasing, work orders, and scheduling systems.

The breakthrough result of this alliance is that homebuilders can now construct custom or semi-custom homes at production speeds, with the costs and predictability typically associated with production homebuilding.

Demonstrations of the dazzling capabilities of this combined effort will be offered at IBS 2013, in booths 2849, 2649, 2749, and 2852, which are all connected to one another.

"It is clear that homebuilders are faced with managing an ever-increasing level of complexity and that they need a more comprehensive solution that links all of the information in the designing and building of their homes. Our combined system is designed to better ensure that they can make a profit on any home," the companies said in a joint statement. "By linking the sales process, option-selection system, workflow management tools and 3D architectural software in a comprehensive BIM solution, we offer builders the ability to dynamically link any option-configured home plan directly to estimating and purchasing. This allows builders to quickly and accurately estimate the lot-specific costs - and the individual cycle times - for custom and semi-custom homes."

This idea of custom-production building is so hot in the new home building market that these allied companies will be offering an official NAHB Continuing Education Unit (CEU) at IBS 2013 on just this topic, in booth C2649, once a day at 1pm. The CEU is entitled: "A Production Builders' Guide for Using a Digital Workflow & mart 3D CAD." The CEU is listed on the IBS web site and it was recently featured in Builder magazine (page 76).

"In today's market, the custom and semi-custom home builder has to compete on many levels," the companies added. "Extremely accurate cost and time predictions are the ultimate business advantage that our systems can provide to builders. We are always working on new and innovative ways for building professionals to work smarter. That's what this alliance of award-winning software companies is offering at IBS 2013 and beyond."
