NuoDB CDMS Challenge “A CDMS must offer the asynchronous, peer-to-peer attributes that are inherent to the cloud itself along with the kind of 1.7 million transactions per second performance and elastic scalability we demonstrated last week,” stated Barry Morris, CEO and Co-Founder of NuoDB, Inc.

“Matt and Gary spoke of the differences between a database “on” the cloud versus a database “of” the cloud,” continued Morris. “We hope the industry will respond to the challenge to offer the market elastically-scalable, high performance data management systems “of” the cloud.” Supporting quote "We expect to see a growing debate this year about the difference between relational databases on the cloud and cloud databases designed to take advantage of and enable elastic, distributed architecture," said Matt Aslett, research manager, data management and analytics, 451 Research. “The launch of NuoDB’s Cloud Data Management System and 12 rules for a 21st century cloud database provide a great starting point for that debate."
