The Lift Store USA Announces the Availability of ADA Compliant Pool Lifts

Port St Lucie, FL, Feb 26, 2013 ( via COMTEX) -- Due to the recently eclipsed deadline for compliance with ADA regulations regarding public pools, there is now a strong need among various industries such as hotels, spas, condo associations, etc., for an ADA compliant yet economical pool lift. The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) had previously issued a mandate that all public facilities had to be in compliance with their 2010 Revised Requirements: Accessible Pools--Accessible Means of Entry and Exit by Mar 15, 2012. However, due to public concerns, this deadline was extended to Jan 31, 2013.

The 2010 ADA Standards require that all newly constructed or altered swimming pools, wading pools, and spas have an accessible way for people with disabilities to enter and exit the pool. For pools already in existence, ADA requires full compliance only if it is "readily achievable" to do so, otherwise less stringent standards may be followed. The term "readily achievable" as defined by the ADA means that providing access is "easily accomplishable without much difficulty or expense." (For complete details on all compliance standards please visit The Lift Store is proud to announce that they now offer a line of high quality pool lifts from Harmar - a leading manufacturer of mobility lifts. This exciting new product meets and exceeds ADA regulations for providing accessible entry and exit of public pools and spas in hotels and motels, health clubs, recreation centers, public country clubs, rental apartments and condo buildings, and other public facilities, and is "readily achievable" due to its affordability and ease of installation. Due to their attractive appearance and neutral beige colors, these pool lifts blend well with any pool environment.

The new Harmar pool lift from The Lift Store has a weight capacity of 350-400 lbs depending on the model purchased. There will be three different models available - the P300, P350, and P400. Each model features stainless steel construction and a durable, weather-proof, powder-coated frame that creates a smooth layer of color for a long-lasting and beautiful finish that resists peeling, chipping, and fading. Each model also exceeds ADA regulations with a lowering depth of 26 inches. Harmar pool lifts also feature secure concrete anchor or surface bolt mounting as required by the ADA.

In addition, pool lifts come standard with a 24v easily removable battery pack, wall mount charger with hanger, waterproof, sealed hand control, and a seat belt. The P300 and P350 models feature folding arms and footplate. Also, beginning March 1st the P350 & P400 models will be available with an optional portable package.

For hotel and spa chains, as well as other public facilities that may require multiple pool lifts to provide access to pools and/or spas in more than one location, The Lift Store conveniently offers bulk pricing discounts. Customers who buy in bulk can expect significant savings over the list price for purchasing a single unit.
