Mocana Names Tech Veteran James Isaacs Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

Mocana (News - Alert), the application security leader, today announced that it has appointed James Isaacs as chief operating officer. With more than twenty years of high technology executive management experience at companies including Apple, Concentric (News - Alert) Networks and Danger, Isaacs will assume responsibility for Mocana sales, marketing, business development and customer success operations.

"Mocana has staked out a leadership position in a field with tremendous potential as organizations enter the third era of enterprise mobility and begin to think differently about how they secure their information and manage their users," said James Isaacs, COO for Mocana. "Mocana's data-centric Mobile App Protection™ (MAP™) solution enables organizations to focus on securing data instead of devices."

According to Isaacs, BYOD is just the tip of the iceberg, and a much larger group of individuals- the extended enterprise - who are not employees, but rather customers, contractors, partners, consultants and others affiliated with the enterprise, are demanding access to enterprise data. As a result, enterprise applications need to be able t defend themselves wherever they end up, whether on a corporate device or on an unmanaged, jail-broken or infected consumer handset.

"James brings a wealth of experience to Mocana from fast-paced technology companies, and we welcome him to our executive management team," said Adrian Turner (News - Alert), chief executive officer of Mocana. "James' track record and field operations leadership experience will be invaluable to Mocana as it embarks on the next phase of its growth strategy, and we look forward to his success in this new position."

Mocana, the industry's most trusted application security provider, has pioneered the application protection technology known as app wrapping. The Mocana MAP solution accelerates wide-scale deployment of enterprise mobile apps by easily and reliably adding a security shield to any app in seconds, regardless of device platform, and without the need to write any code. With its data-centric model of security, Mocana MAP helps companies meet the challenges of the third era of enterprise mobility by enabling enterprise IT to maintain security of sensitive data across a broad range of devices and apps.
