D2 Technologies Offers Commercially Ready Native RCS joyn(TM) Solution for Android(TM) Phones

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SANTA BARBARA, CA and BARCELONA, SPAIN -- (Marketwired) -- 02/24/14 -- (Mobile World Congress) -- D2 Technologies, the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, today announced the availability of a commercially ready reference implementation of its mCUE 4G IMS client. This innovative solution is embedded and optimized to provide a fully native user experience that combines rich IP communications modes based on the IR.92 VoLTE, the IR.94 video call and RCS (joyn) standards with legacy CS voice and SMS.

The new embedded solution delivers true seamless feature integration for a complete user experience by avoiding the limitations of downloadable "app" versions of RCS clients. It significantly shortens the product design cycle and reduces development costs, enabling mobile operators and device OEMs to more quickly meet increasing customer demand with new mobile devices featuring advanced rich communications capabilities.

Visitors to Mobile World Congress, opening today in Barcelona, Spain, will get a first-hand look at how the tightly integrated mCUE 4G on the Google Nexus 5 can boost the user experience via Android™ OS's native communications tools such as the dialer, in-call screen, messaging and address book. mCUE 4G is also being demoed on the Huawei Ascend G716-L070, Nvidia's Tegra 4i reference platform and an Intel® Atom™ based commercial handset.

"Subscribers want the 'green button' experience where all rich communications functions, such as Instant Messaging (IM), video calls and easy photo/file/location sharing are native functions of the phone," said Doug Makishima, chief operating officer for D2. "The only way to truly achieve this fully integrated experience -- and add VoLTE with HD voice -- is with an embedded IMS client such as our mCUE 4G solution." Through February 27, attendees at Mobile World Congress can arrange for a private demo of D2's native RCS joyn solution by contacting
