HOB Honored as Winner in the 10th Annual 2014 Security Industry's Global Excellence Awards

HAWTHORNE, N.Y --(Business Wire)--

HOB, the market leader in pure software-based remote access solutions, announced today that Information Security Products Guide, the industry's leading information security research and advisory guide, has awarded HOB Remote Desktop Virtual Private Network (HOB RD VPN) and HOBLink Mobile with a total of five 2014 Global Excellence Awards.

HOB's flagship products, HOB RD VPN and HOBLink Mobile, received recognition in the following categories:

  • Gold Award for HOBLink Mobile in Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Security Category
  • Gold Award for HOB RD VPN in IPSec/SSL/VPN Category
  • Silver Award for HOB RD VPN in Access Category
  • Bronze Award for HOB RD VPN in Best Security oftware Category
  • Bronze Award for HOB RD VPN in Cloud Security Category

In addition to winning these five awards, HOB also earned the Grand Trophy, an award given only to companies that have won the highest number of awards.

HOB RD VPN, with four awards, achieves more than traditional SSL VPNs by optimizing flexible software solutions without sacrificing security. As a remote access solution, HOB RD VPN allows convenient and highly secure access to centrally stored enterprise resources. HOB RD VPN decreases administrative costs, increases productivity and enhances IT security.

HOBLink Mobile allows enterprises to securely access centrally stored data from a smartphone. The advantage of HOBLink Mobile is that data is never saved on the mobile device. This means data remains safe even in the event of loss, theft or manipulation of the mobile device. Furthermore, the data-exchange traffic is always encrypted over an HOB-developed communications protocol. Communications is also improved by compression and optimization methods, which ensure high performance even over low bandwidths.

"We are pleased to receive recognition for HOB RD VPN and HOBLink Mobile as powerful solutions that help organizations meet the need for anytime, anywhere access to information while providing the security essential to protecting their critical enterprise data," said Klaus Brandstätter, CEO of HOB. "It is an honor to receive such high commendation from the industry. HOB remains dedicated to providing secure remote access solutions, and we hope to be back here next year."
