STAYING IN [Ulster Region] [Sunday Mirror (England)]

(Sunday Mirror (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) GADGET SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 Pounds 579 SIM free. Out now Samsung's new flagship smartphone could be the embodiment of 'evolution, not revolution'. Even with its new 5.1" screen (just larger than the S4's 5.0"), ergonomically designed back, and Apple- aping fingerprint scanner, it doesn't look or feel all that different to its predecessor. Naturally there are improvements, including a meatier 2.5GHz quad core processor and a Download Booster that combines wifi and 4G technology to suck serious amounts of data from the net. Parents might be more taken with the new Kids Mode, which stops little ones running riot. The real innovations are for the important health and fitness market. A biometric scanner under the handset's rear camera can record your heart rate and the impressive S Health 3.0 lifestyle manager app is pre loaded. It also syncs up with the new Gear 2 and Gear Fit accessories - this could kickstart the wearable tech revolution.

DAN SILVER DVD NEBRASKA 15, 115mins, Pounds 10 A beautiful bittersweet comic drama - shot in lustrous black and white - starring Bruce Dern as a curmudgeonly old man who convinces his son to claim a supposed million-dollar prize.

APP PELE-KING OF FOOTBALL free Play the backstreets of Brazil to the world stage with this flick- to-shoot app.

Includes exclusive video and interviews with the legendary Pele. Can't fault it.

SINGLE JANELLE MONAE Heroes, 99p Janelle Monae's soulful reworking of David Bowie's classic 1977 hit is for Pepsi Max's 2014 football ad Now Is What You Make It. This will get you on your feet in no time! ALBUM THE VAMPS Meet The Vamps, Pounds 7.99 This hot new boyband are going to storm the charts with their debut album. With more than 40 million YouTube views, the youngsters, who have been touring with Taylor Swift, have vibes of noughties American pop rock throughout this superb 15-track disc. This instantly infectious album features hit singles Can We Dance and Wild Heart. Deluxe version has extra tracks.

GAME FOOTBALL MANAGER CLASSIC PlayStation Vita. Out now SI Games should be commended for porting the full bodied Football Manager Classic game over to Sony's handheld device but it's not without its problems. Accessing the miniscule menu items on the Vita's touchscreen is hit and miss and it often runs slow. The conversion comes into its own if you already play the game on PC or Mac. Cross saving means you can continue your desktop game while on the move but it's not in the same league as its computer versions. *** DAN SILVER GAME KINECT SPORTS RIVALS Xbox One. Out now Kinect Sports Rivals is meant to showcase the next gen power of Kinect 2.0 but many of the old failings remain. Yes, the gesture recognition has come on incredibly but you'll still need enough space to leap and bound around in for it to work. And even then there are many moments where your intentions are woefully misinterpreted by the hardware. The sports on offer are similarly patchy. Of the six on offer, bowling is brilliant, tennis is terrible, and football, climbing, wake racing and shooting fill out the middle ground in that order. Decent story and multiplayer modes mean there's plenty to do and there's definitely fun to be had. However, success in sport is all about consistency - and in that regard KSR doesn't quite have what it takes.
