RaceTrac Reaches Workforce Management Deployment Milestone with Empower Software

ORLANDO, Fla. --(Business Wire)--

RaceTrac and Empower Software Solutions have announced that an important milestone has been reached in the rollout of Empower's workforce management solution, EmpowerWFM within the RaceTrac store network. As of February 28, 2014, all 365 RaceTrac locations are now utilizing EmpowerTime, the time and attendance product from the EmpowerWFM solution suite.

This marks the successful first phase in a system wide rollout of EmpowerWFM, which includes labor forecasting and automated scheduling of store associates. "The implementation of EmpowerWFM is key to achieving our goal of coordinating staffing to peak traffic levels in our locations which will result in increased service to our customers," said Jaime Benton, Director of Human Resources for RaceTrac.

EmpowerTime, when integrated with the rest of EmpowerWFM, will give RaceTrac managers a more robust tool for managing their workforce, allowing them to focus on customer satisfaction, store operations, and the development of store associates. The integrated labor forecasting and automated scheduling solutions are now being phased into the RaceTra store network, with anticipated completion by mid-2014.

According to Joe Olson, Executive Vice President and General Manager for Workforce Management at Empower Software, "RaceTrac is a true innovator in the c-store industry, with a particular focus on creating satisfied customers and a great work environment for their associates. EmpowerWFM is a natural fit for an organization like RaceTrac, as it enables store management and associates to concentrate more on serving customers and less on creating schedules, or tracking time and attendance."
