What the Media Gets Wrong About Concierge Medicine: A Case Study

--(Business Wire)--

Concierge Choice Physicians:

With a multitude of audiences to educate, reach and engage, covering the complex and always changing topic of healthcare must not be easy. For the consumer audience, catch-phrases like ACA, ACO and Obamacare may turn heads and fuel debate, but often coverage of such hot button issues does not impart insight for patients or for those in the practice of medicine. In the next Concierge 411 Webinar, we review a handful of recent portrayals of Concierge Medicine in the media. We will present a few examples of the media getting it right and wrong, and assess how this affects both physicians and patients.

In spite of the incessant coverage of the changes in healthcare on television, radio, print and digital media over the last few years, as well as some movie and TV representations, some reporters tend to over-simplify, gloss over or miss the nuances of healthcare today. In our webinar, we will present examples of common clichés and misperceptions often portrayed and perpetuated by media in the coverage of Concierge Medicine.

Presented by Wayne Lipton, Managing Partner and CEO of Concierge Choice Physicians, a healthcare industry veteran with more than 30 years' experience in practice management.

Tuesday, August 26, at 6:30 PM EDT/ 5:30 PM CDT (News - Alert)/ 3:30 PM PDT. Q&A session to follow.
